Dr. Tan Keng Kooi

Dr. Tan Keng Kooi graduated (MBBS) from the University of Science and Technology, Chittagong, and completed his Master of Surgery (MS) in Cardiothoracic Surgery from the National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh. He received the prestigious fellowship from The American College of Surgeons (FACS) and The International College of Surgeons (FICS). Dr. Saikat has 17 years of clinical experience in cardiac surgery. He served as Registrar in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh. He joined Square Hospital as Junior Consultant of Cardiac Surgery and later promoted as Associate Consultant. He has keen interest in developing Thoracoscopic and Robotic Cardiac Surgery in Bangladesh. He is capable of managing Beating Heart Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (OP-CABG), Valve replacement or repair, Myxoma, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Septal Myectomy, Ventricular Septal Rupture, and Aortic Aneurysm/Dissections. Dr. Saikat has published articles in different national and international journals. He is a member of Bangladesh Cardiac Society (BCS), European Association of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons, The Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Surgeon (IACTS), and The American Heart Association (AHA).
